Here are some photos to show how the cutting back in spring has gone. The photos of the Amelanchier lamarckii show it well – it is a shrub of year round interest. That bed has now been finished and for all the lower garden area, we just need to wait for the perennials to come through – with baited breath – as Mark may have inadvertently weeded a lot of them out. The photos of our patio show it at a half way stage of being tidied up – but the grasses look quite effective standing like soldiers in a row – maybe we could put them into some of our pottery pots as permanent fixtures. The wheelbarrow needs to be refilled with decent compost and planted up – probably with some lithodora, rosemary and lavender which we bought yesterday at the garden centre in Hexham.
